Courteney Cox: Stress To Blame For Her Weight Loss?

Monday, March 17th, 2008 at 3:00 pm

CourtneyCox.davidletterman

Courteney Cox has been one of our favorite friends for years now. After the show ended, she started her own show on FX called “Dirt“. In Touch Weekly is reporting that Courteney dropped weight from 123 pounds to 108 pounds. According to the magazine, she wants her show to be a hit, but so far it’s only a “modest success.” Philip Goglia, of PFC Nutrition is stating that Courteney’s dramatic weight loss:

“Could compromise her immune system. Stress releases chemicals such as cortisol that can cause weight loss even if someone is eating normally”

Goglia suggests that someone under pressure might need 500 extra calories per day.

Hmm..is it really realistic for Courteney, or any other member of the cast, to believe anything she does at this point will be as successful as “Friends”? I mean, anything is possible but that show was HUGE!
