Nicole Richie Has Come Back From The Dark Side Of Dieting

Nicole Richie looked happy and healthy as she proudly showed off her post-baby figure at the launch of her fiancé’s new clothing line, DCMA Collective. Thankfully, motherhood has temporarily saved this 26-year-old from a horrible eating disorder. Last Friday night in Los Angeles, Nicole shimmered in a tight sliver dress. She finally appears to be happy with her curvy but petite figure. Not only did her recent pregnancy leave her with some curves, she also gained some cleavage, thanks to breast-feeding! I only hope that Nicole keeps her current weight and that she doesn’t cross back over to the dark side of dieting.

How Halle Stayed Healthy During Pregnancy

New mommy Halle Berry (she welcomed a baby girl on Sunday, 3/16/08) had to be extra careful during her pregnancy because she was a diabetic and is 41 years old. After she delivered, the new mommy is said to be doing great. According to people, Halle felt “fantastic” during pregnancy thanks to eating right and keeping fit with yoga, swimming, light weights and an elliptical machine.

Jennifer Aniston’s Itsy Bitsy Bikini

Jennifer Aniston took a break from filming her new romantic comedy, Marley & Me, to soak up some sun in Jamaica. You can really appreciate Jen’s ultra fit body in her barely there bikini. Her tight and toned physique is no accident. Jennifer takes a 2 hour yoga sessions 3-4 times a week and works out with an Elliptical Trainer on her off days. In addition, Jennifer started incorporating Kettle Bells into her workout routine back in 2007.

Penelope Cruz and Claire Danes are two other celebrities that swear by Kettle Bells. This new and improved version of the dumbbell was created by celebrity trainer Michelle Khai. These sleek handled cast iron balls weigh 10 lbs. a piece and:

Catherine Zeta-Jones is one hot mama for 38 years old! She has two children, a 63 year old husband and fans of both sexes drooling over her. She is definitely a Fitceleb! Catherine has publicly spoken out against the too-thin trend in Hollywood, and she has also been accused of anorexia herself as early back as last year. She said:

“I grew up with dancers, anorexia and other disorders were common, so I learned how to deal with [diets] without losing my limit. I think it’s awful, this competition in the U.S. between actresses who just had a baby, to see who’s first to get back to their normal weight,” said Zeta-Jones, who put on more than 50 pounds when she was pregnant with her first child. “It’s insane. I find this wave of super-skinny women scary.”

She is definitely doing something right!

How To Cut Your Calories And Keep Flavor

Here’s a quick guide to cutting calories without losing flavor…

Substitute oat flour for regular refined white flour in equal parts: It gives you a boost of filling fiber and is super-heart-healthy. If you can’t get a hold of it, grind regular oats in a food processor.

Use real extracts and spices rather than artificial flavoring (vanilla extract instead of cheaper vanilla flavoring, for example) to add an extra kick of flavor.

Be creative! Certain desserts like soufflés are tough to modify. But muffins, cookies, and cakes are just as good. Try tossing in dried fruits, nuts, and seeds to add flavor, texture, and nutrients.

Raid the fruit bowl. Substitute a large mashed ripe banana, plus a drizzle of canola oil, for a half-stick of butter to cut fat and calories and add some healthy carbs.

Try the golden rule: Eat real foods! If a product has an ingredient you can’t pronounce, you probably shouldn’t eat it.

Minnie Driver Has No Desire To Be A FitMama

Actress, Minnie Driver, recently admitted to being pregnant. Since her exciting announcement, this celebrity has been embracing her new prego-body. Over the weekend, she arrived at the premiere for her show, The Riches’, wearing a black form fitting Calvin Klein dress. This new mommy-to-be was all smiles at her first public event since announcing the pregnancy. The 38-year-old proudly exclaimed:

“I’m just going to have the summer to be fat and happy,” - DailyMail.Com

This is a big change from Minnie’s previous outlook on nutrition and fitness. Several years back this star had lost a tremendous amount of weight on Atkins. Since then she has maintained a low carbohydrate diet. From a fitness standpoint, she has been known to workout with personal trainers Rich and Helene Guzman for 2 hours a day, 5 times per week.
