Maybe it’s because I’m a born an raised Queens girl, but I absolutely love the show, Ugly Betty. Ana Ortiz plays Betty’s free spirited sister, Hilda Suarez. Ana plays a sexy single mom that is the complete opposite of her sweet but frumpy sister. On the show, “Hilda” constantly wears form fitting clothes, that show of this celeb’s super fit and sexy body. Although Ana’s character makes staying fit look like a breeze, in real life, Ana confesses that “keeping it all up takes effort”. Christie Brinkley: Model Status

Christie Brinkley is drop dead gorgeous in my book. She’s a 54 year old mother of three and she is flawless! Christie follows a vegetarian diet and that is probably what keeps her looking like such a FitCeleb all the time.  According to Jessica Siegel, RD:

“A vegetarian diet is true healthy living. You can eat larger quantities of food, so you don’t feel hungry. When you get most of your food from whole grains, vegetables, fruit, beans, and tofu, you are avoiding empty calories from refined carbs and sugars. [Vegetarians] have lower rates of heart disease and cancer, and they also tend to not be overweight, so there’s less incidence of diabetes.”

To hear directly from the source herself, here’s what Christie has to say about her healthy lifestyle:

“I’ve been a fish-and-dairy vegetarian since I was 13. I really believe you are what you eat, plus soy has so many health benefits. I just like to feel good and have lots of energy…. Eating this way makes me feel great.”

If that’s what I gotta do to look like her when I’m 54, then so be it!

Tastie Treats Under 150 Calories

Now I know that on a regular basis the best snacks are fruits and veggies because they are filling and packed with fiber. But most celebs agree that moderation is the key. Therefore, every now and then a girl needs to satisfy her sweet tooth! In general, I try to keep my snacking under 175 calories, becuase I can’t afford to break the calorie bank! Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the prepackaged 100 calorie packs, becuase they are carb heavy. Not to mention, that when I finish that itsy bitsy bag - I’m never satified. That’s why I loved this list I found, on About.Com, of …….

Patrick Dempsey Is An Ultra FitCeleb

Patrick Dempsey sure is a “dreamy” FitCeleb. As a 41 year old father of three, Patrick looks great for his age, but he has always been active. As a teenager he was a state champion downhill skier in Maine, and trained for the Olympic skiing team. In a recent interview, Patrick explained that the physical demands of his car racing hobby push him to stay in top shape. His workouts include running, training, and biking outdoors. On top of that, his children keep him moving too.

Here’s what Patrick had to say about the benefits of his health to his children: 

“I want to be healthy for them when I get older. I have to keep myself together. There’s a reward when I can pick up my daughter and not pull my back out.”

Get Rid Of Your Bulging Back Fat

Most women don’t work their back muscles. I must say I am guilty for neglecting my own.  So with a little regular cardio and targeted strength moves I hope this will do the trick. Genetics plays a role in where you store fat, but the upper back is also a tough area to home in on, says Brian Shiers, a personal trainer in Los Angeles. Many of the moves you do every day are in front of you (swinging a tennis racket, carrying bags), which works the chest, not the back. 

To refocus your routine, do cardio for 30 to 60 minutes on most days of the week. Rowing and boxing with a bag will help tone back muscles and burn fat all over. In the weight room, do 2 or 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps of bent-over flyes (hold a dumbbell in each hand, bend over at your hips, and draw your arms out to each side to shoulder height). Those bra bulges should start to vanish in about a month.
