If I had to pick one adjective to describe the bodies of Hollywood stars it would be: SHRINKING. Take a look at Angie Harmon. This 5-foot-10 actress was estimated to weigh a 135 lbs. in March 2004. When asked about her low height/weight ratio in 2004 she responded:

“Those weight guidelines don’t apply. I’m supposed to be, like, 160 pounds!” - US Magazine

In 2008 she is looking even slimmer:

“You can see her collarbone!” frets NYC internist Marc Siegel of the 36-year-old. Siegel estimates her March 2008 weight is 120 lbs. - US Magazine

So what do you think …………..

Spice Girl Mel C., aka “Sporty Spice” has her own little secret to staying slim. On top of being so active as a spice girl, the 34 year old performer keeps her figure trim, her blood sugar balanced and cravings aside with whey protein and water as a breakfast blend.

“Whey protein is filling, energizing and can even help fight ageing,” says medical nutritionist Naomi Beinhart . “And pure protein eaten in the morning suppresses the appetite for the entire day.”

I think we just got a tip we can all use!

Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima is sizzling hot on the April cover of GQ Magazine - so hot - that I decided to throw my husband’s copy away! This 26 year-old beauty is best known for her modeling work with Victoria’s Secret and Maybelline. How does she stay so sultry and slim? Besides good breeding, Adriana keeps toned by boxing with professional middleweight champ Michael Olajide Jr. at Aerospace on West 13th Street, in N.Y.C.

Ever notice that most boxers have zero body fat - there’s a good reason! Boxing is one butt kicking total body workout; this intense cardio experience burns an estimated 500 calories per hour. I don’t know about you ladies, but I’m signing up for boxing lessons tomorrow!

FitCeleb Tip Of The Day: Stay Trim With Chinese Takeout

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 at 6:00 am

 chinese food.tipoftheday

Yes, I am guilty! At least twice a week. Thats horrible, right? I know its just that its so good!!! And they deliver so quick.. Anyway, next time you order out make sure you read this first..

To order wisely, “steer clear of deep-fried dishes, ask for sauces on the side, and cut back on serving sizes,” advises Sarah Krieger, R.D., a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. She recommends ordering a spring roll, two cups of egg drop soup, and a cup of brown rice for a meal with less than 450 calories. Or opt for shrimp with lobster sauce (the lowest-cal entrée in the CSPI study) and split an order of steamed vegetable dumplings with a friend for a 600-calorie dinner.

“You can make your favorite dish healthier by mixing it with steamed veggies and wrapping half for another night,” says Krieger. Finally, treat yourself to a fortune cookie; it has just 30 calories and is fat-free.
