The Godfather Of Fitness Offers Britney Some Words Of Wisdom

The godfather of physical fitness, Jack LaLanne, is currently touring to promote his new book, Fiscal Fitness. While posing for a photo opt he offered some grandfatherly advice for Britney Spears:

“I feel sorry for her,” Jack LaLanne, at 93 still the poster boy for vitality, tells PEOPLE. “She has to develop pride and discipline in herself.”- People.Com

In regards to the star’s unhealthy eating habits, LaLanne advised her to stay away from sugar and ….

“She needs to put the right fuel in the machine,” he says. “No wonder she feels the way she does. Look at what she putting into herself.” (Don’t get him started talking about cigarettes.)- People.Com

LaLanne explained how Britney is only the tip of the iceberg with the issues regarding American youth:

With so many young stars checking in and out of rehab, “It’s sickening,” says LaLanne. “These kids can’t stand success. They’ve lost their pride. Anything that happens to you, good or bad, you make it happen.” “The only thing we can blame our parents for is bone structure and the color of our hair,” says LaLanne. “The rest is up to us.”- People.Com

Jamie Lee Curtis: How Did She Drop 20 Lbs

Jamie Lee Curtis always seems as though she is healthy and happy being that way. The nearly 50 year old actress has spent years and years in the spotlight and seems to maintain a logical standpoint on her body and her weight. 

Jamie has decided to appear on the cover of AARP, the magazine for their May/June issue topless. She wants to convince women that they are most beautiful when aging naturally and taking care of their bodies. The point Jamie is trying to make is that “glam” isn’t real, but good health is. Here’s some more news to get you even more motivated: After Jamie learned her cholesterol and blood pressure were too high about a year and a half ago, she dropped 20 pounds by giving up “fattening” foods that most of us would consider relatively healthy such as crackers, bread and granola, which have white flour and sugar and are surprisingly high in fat.

She hopes American women will learn from her example. Jamie has given away her uncomfortable shoes, and most of her jewelry that she no longer wears in order to lighten her load off the scale. She says she prefers the natural look of her hair, which went gray in her mid-40s. And as sexy as she was in early films, she has more confidence than ever in her looks.

George a surprising 47 years old and he doesn’t look like he’s slowin down anytime soon. Amid plastic surgery and liposuction rumors after a reported dramatic weight loss, George defended his slim body by discussing numerous fitness routines he used to help himself trim down. George told reporters that he does aerobics, dance, jazz-ercise, uses the ab-master, and does butt exercises to stay so toned. On top of all that, he keeps his mind healthy by doing yoga.

Is Jessica Alba On The Mediterranean Diet?

I can’t believe that Jessica Alba is six months pregnant - she barely has a bump!! These pictures were snapped late last week, and they prove that she is still working out strong! Maybe one of the reasons for her, barley there bump, is that this FitCeleb hits the gym on a regular basis now that her “all day sickness” has ended. In regards to her diet, it’s possible that Jessica follows the very popular Mediterranean Diet.

Back in the fall, Jessica told Vogue Magazine that she had just taken a Mediterranean cooking class. She also told People Magazine, that she now eats healthy meals every four hours which consist mainly of organic meats, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and limited dairy…. - That sounds just like the nutritional guidelines of the Mediterranean Diet.
