When it comes to the hit TV show Dancing With The Stars, much attention is placed on the killer bodies of those fabulous female professional dancers. But, what about the celebrity contestants? Apparently, their all-day dancing regiments are whipping their bodies into shape as well!
Marissa Jaret Winokur lost 4 pounds just working on the Jive. Before being booted off, Adam Carolla lost an amazing 15 pounds. Even super fit Jason Taylor discovered muscles in his legs that he never knew he had! All of the 7 remaining celebrity dancers have slimmed downed and toned up. Priscilla Presley explained her weight loss:

“I think I’ve lost inches! You don’t feel like eating. You don’t eat before rehearsals because you can’t. Then when you come out of rehearsals, you don’t feeling like eating.”

Marlee Matlin recovered her post baby abs thank to her grueling day practices:

“I did Pilates before. Now I am not going to the gym – this has been a huge workout. I’m not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but it’s a lot. I now have hard abs – and I delivered four kids!”

So what’s the point of this post? Sign up for multiple ballroom dancing classes a week, and jive away the pounds!

I play dance dance revolution for hours at a time, I know it’s not exactly the same thing but it really does work. It’s something that is fun and gives you a workout. It also tells you how many calories you’ve burned. I’m in withdrawl right now because my wisdom teeth just came out and I can’t exercise for a week.

I dont but I would love to. I do dance at home to the radio, it could be a workout if I did it more often.

Dance is the best exercise ever. I do burlesque and have done pole dancing classes - best arm and core work out.
