Sarah Larson Gets Fit To Keep Her Man
Sarah Larson (George Clooney’s very lucky girlfriend) is feeling the pressure to look good for her man.
The 28-year-old (former?) cocktail waitress has revealed she is always dieting and has taken up Pilates to compete with the female attention he receives.
“Sarah is dropping some pounds and getting fit out of fear more than anything,” says a friend. “Girls hit on George right in front of her all the time.”
George, 46, has been dating Sarah since early last year and made their relationship official when the couple stepped out together at the Venice Film Festival.
“Sarah is in love with George and doesn’t want to lose him. So if that means eating less and going to the gym to keep her body nice, she’ll do it,” adds the source.
And wouldn’t you?! I could just imagine the pressure and toll it must take on her to be with someone like him-especially since she’s not in the business. Kudos Sarah- on keeping your head together and landing a man like him!

May 5th, 2008 @ 9:51 amagree. God forbid they may be with eachother for more than how they look naked. ‘land a man like him’. You don’t know him, and really he’s the lucky one.
May 5th, 2008 @ 10:33 amI agree with the first two posters. I didn’t realize we were still in the 1950s mindframe of trying to “land a man” and hang onto him by looking good no matter how drastic the measures may be. love is much more than physical attraction…if George Clooney and/or his girlfriend don’t realize that then that’s a shame. I wouldn’t give a crap about losing George Clooney if he told me I needed to shape up in order to hold onto him or even made me feel that way. That kind of person isn’t a real man, or even a real human being.
May 5th, 2008 @ 11:12 amI think personally George Clooney is HOT! She’s happy she landed a man like George Clooney so if it makes her work out a little harder then go for it. Why should it bother you? She’s the one busting her A**.
May 5th, 2008 @ 12:42 pm^What’s “wrong” with this message is the patriarchal notion that a woman must sacrifice certain things (dieting, excessive workouts) to “keep” or “land” a man. If a man loves you, he’ll love you even if you gain a few pounds. I workout and keep my body in good shape because I enjoy it and it makes me feel great, not because my husband requires it of me.
May 5th, 2008 @ 12:53 pmWhat does Sarah have to worry about, she is beautiful. Hopefully their relationship is more than skin deep or it was in trouble from the beginning with that attitude. However, I can see her point.
May 5th, 2008 @ 1:55 pmUgh, I absolutely agree with posts 1, 2, 3 and 5. If all a man cares about is how thin you are, you need to find another man. And if all you care about is “landing” a man, you need to find some self-confidence.
May 5th, 2008 @ 9:27 pmI also agree. “don’t eat to keep a man.” WTF?
May 5th, 2008 @ 9:52 pmKeeping her head together? This is a good way to fall apart. There is always somebody better looking out there, or just different looking. There’s no way you can compete based on that. I’d walk away from a relationship that I felt compelled to constantly be on a dieting and fitness treadmill for. If you’re doing it for yourself, fine. But feeling compelled for the sake of someone else is not right. There are a lot of good looking men out there, and there are lots of men who aren’t so great looking who are also great too. Clooney’s just famous as well. It wouldn’t be worth it to me.
