Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire announced that he and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, are expecting their second child. They already have a daughter, Ruby, age 2. The new baby is due in spring 2009, according to Maguire's rep, Kelly Bush. According to a friend of the couple,
They are ecstatic."
The Maguire-Meyer family seems like one of the more low-key families in Hollywood, and Tobey appears to be a devoted father. He reportedly even negotiated "family time" in his latest Spider-Man contract!
Congratulations to the couple, and to Ruby, who's going to become a big sister!

Taylor Swift is the December cover star of Women’s Health magazine on newsstands now – this young Country megastar hasn’t even scratched the surface of her success. I LOVE writing about her because she seems so thankful and down to Earth.
Here are several quotes from the interview.
Taylor wrote her first song at age 8…
“It’s my way of coping, I write when I’m frustrated, angry, or confused. I’ve figured out a way to filter all of that into something good.”On the subjects of her songs:
“I like to encode capital letters in the printed lyrics, so they spell out phrases. I encoded the ‘Should’ve Said No’ guy’s name over and over. It was only his first name, but everyone figured it out. I’d get texts from him. He was scared out of his mind I’d crucify him on a talk show. All I could think was, “Well, you should’ve said no. That’s what the song is about.’”
“The drama and the trauma of the relationship you have when you’re 16 can mirror the one you have when you’re 26. Life repeats itself.”
“I am never going to be that ‘Get out of my face!’ girl.”
“Keith and Nicole live there. Tim and Faith live there. We can all go to the grocery store in our sweatpants because the paparazzi have no idea Nashville exists.”
“I look up and there are, like 15 people looking at me, with camera phones out, waiting to take a picture of which kind of underwear I’m going to buy. Think she’s a small or an extra small? I wanted to be, like, ‘Uh guys? I can hear you.’”
“Anyone would be lucky to be dating him.”
This and so much more after the jump. Click on the continue reading link below to read the rest of the interview.
What do you think about Rosie O'Donnell having her own show again? If you haven't heard, Rosie Live is a variety show that will air11/26 at 8pm. Here is a preview.
Special guests include Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli, Rachael Ray, Clay Aiken, plus many more.

Remember that insane Balenciaga dress that Jennifer Connelly wore to a red carpet event one time? She's known for taking chances with her style. But, for the photocall for The Day the Earth Stood Still, with Keanu Reeves, Jennifer played it safe. Polka dots and a black skirt...where's the fun in that?!? Of course she looks good, but as she promotes the movie I'm hoping for some fun Love It Or Hates It posts featuring Jennifer. :)

Jay-Z and Beyonce have just topped a list of Hollywood's richest couples. Obviously they're so high ranking because both of these two business savvy. From 2007-2008 Jay-Z brought in $82 million from his deal with Live Nation, while Beyonce has raked in $80 million through everything she does in fashion, music, etc. The rest of the richest couples are:
Personally I'm surprised not to see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes on there. He always earns an insane amount for his movies and she's got to be getting paid big bucks for all the campaigns she's in! And who would have guessed that Harrison and Calista are still racking it in! Are you surprised to see any of these names on the list? And who did you think was really rich that didn't actually make the top ten?

While I completely understand that this is in keeping with the times I am still so SAD for the audience members of Oprah's Favorite Things show. She normally gives out such amazing gifts, but this year the episode is going to only feature affordable items. An Oprah Winfrey Show rep says,
"They're some of Oprah's favorite things, but this time there's a twist...they cost next to nothing! On [Wednesday's] show, viewers reveal their creative ways to spend less over the holiday season. You'll meet a mom who shows us how to create a one-of-a-kind treasure that comes straight from the heart. Then, one family talks about their very own tradition that doesn’t cost a cent. You'll also hear some great ideas to make your holiday party memorable and affordable. And, Oprah unveils a special gift that won’t cost you a thing! Find out how to have the thriftiest holidays ever."
Honestly, I do find it a little ironic that one of the richest women in the world is doing a recession themed show. But I guess she's just showing how in touch she is with us normal folk. :)
Let's talk economy. Not to get you down or anything, but I'm curious, how has the recession affected you and your family this year? Will there be less toys under the Christmas tree? Are you coupon clipping to do your grocery shopping? Or is everything, for the most part, still normal wherever you are?
