Helen Mirren, Christie Brinkely, and Molly Sims arrived to the opening night of The Metropolitan Opera wearing mermaid style gowns though each had a different take on the trend. Mermaid style is SO IN this season. I never thought twice about the style until my best friend got married in onelast year. Now, since it's on my radar, I don't go a day without finding a set which includes a woman in this type of gown.

The always fabulous Parker Posey also attended the event , but choose a completely different style. Does it work?

Petra Nemcova debuted her new color and cut when she attended Christie Brinkley's 19th annual Wild West Carnival charity event held in the Hamptons this past weekend. It's a little vintage pin-up looking. What do you think of her new 'do?

This is so funny. Christie Brinkley attended a charity event and during an interview she admitted that she was excited to see the first pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new family additions!

"I'm sure that these two, with that perfect genetic recipe are going to just continue to add to this enormously beautiful family."

And when asked about jumping back into the dating scene, Christie said that won't happen anytime soon.

"I'm not going to get into that, I learned my lesson."

I've always wondered if celebrities get excited to see the first pictures of other celebrities' babies and weddings etc. Can you imagine someone like J-Lo sitting at home telling Marc he needs to run out and pick up the new People because she wants to see what Angelina's twins look like?!? That would be wild! :P

"The day my world was completely shattered," is how Christie Brinkley referred to the moment she found out her husband was cheating on her with an young girl. Christie learned of the affair when the girl's father said Peter Cook, her husband, wouldn't leave 18 year old Diana Bianchi alone.

"I turned to look at Peter. His face was so tense ... he was saying, 'No,' " Brinkley told the court, reenacting how Cook, 49, was shaking his head.

"I thought 'Oh my god. It's true. He did it.' I knew from his face. It explained the feelings I'd been trying not to feel."

"I saw little Jack's face looking at his dad, the man and me," she said referring to her son, who was with them. "I thought, 'I am going to pass out.'"

Christy also testified about Peter's internet porn habit and how he offered to pay girls and take them shopping just so he could see their faces. But Peter shot back saying,

"Shrek was more believable than that."

She left Peter immediately,

"I drove away from my perfect life," she said, choking back tears. "I thought I had the picket fence. I thought we were happy."

If this is all true, how very, very sad.

Christie Brinkley just turned 54 this February and you wouldn't know that looking at her. She's such a gorgeous woman and remains a very natural looking beauty. She's pictured leaving a medical center in Beverly Hills and later helping her parents into their apartment. Could she be any sweeter?WENN

From playing softball to glamming it up for a red carpet event, she always looks beautiful! In these photos she is shown at the Annual Artist and Writers Softball Game. Then on the same day she attended the premiere of The Good Night which was written and director by Gwyneth's brother Jake Paltrow.

A variety of celebrities attended the Billy Joel concert at the Hampton Social at Ross in East Hampton New York over the weekend. Edie Falco, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Christie Brinkley, Mary Kate Olsen, Renee Zellweger and Adam Sandler to name a few.  Edie looks a bit under-dressed. Or perhaps Kelly is a bit over-dressed? It's nice to see Christie and Billy keeping it civil.

We all know that Peter Cook likes sleeping with young, South Hampton girls. Well, we can now add another name to his growing list of conquests. Extra TV is reporting that Peter and Martha Stewart's daughter, Alexis, were an item right before Christie Brinkley became his wife.

Yet another woman has come forward to claim she allegedly slept with Christie Brinkley's soon-to-be ex, Peter Cook. And wait until you hear who it is! In an all-new interview on Sirius Radio, Alexis Stewart, Martha Stewart's daughter, claimed she had a romp with Peter before he married Brinkley. (source)

I just love the press-released written apology card that some celebrities play when they are in their darkest hour.  I think Peter Cook feels his "sorry" will hold more weight if millions of people read it.  I can't speak for Christie Brinkley but that crap doesn't work for me. These matters should be kept as private as possible. Instead Peter's attorney, Norman Sheresky, released the following statement to Cindy Adams:

"I'm sorry. I'm contrite. I'm stupid. Foolish. No excuse." He adds, "I love my wife. I have loved her since the day I met her... For a lifetime, I've tried to prove how much I love her."
Meanwhile, Sheresky states, "He got involved, in over his head somehow, and he wants to make it up to her for the rest of his life. He didn't invent adultery. He didn't invent the kind of person who would engage in it with him either. He hopes there's no divorce. If she wants one... it will not be nasty. She can have whatever she wants." Cook was disgraced when news of his affair with 19-year-old Diana Bianchi went public at the beginning of the month. Bianchi, a budding singer, has since come forward to confirm the romance. Christie Brinkley must be sitting in a corner of a very dark room. This is the second chick to come forward admitting to sleeping with Peter Cook. NASTY! This time he was only engaged to Christie - but that still has to hurt. She was also 19 at the time. Does Peter listen to R Kelly music?
The best part about the story is Samantha Cole says she can't believe he would cheat on his wife. Uh.. HELLO! He cheated with you before he cheated with Diana Bianchi!

Cole said she was shocked to hear that Cook had allegedly cheated on Brinkley. "I never thought he would do something like that, being married, with his family is so important to him." (NY POST)
