It's officially award season. Hope you don't mind seeing one red carpet event after another filled with beautiful people wearing dresses that could most likely pay a month of someone's mortgage.

I love every second of it!

Well, we already found out who won what, but now it's time to talk about what went down on the red carpet. Let's talk fashion, you know want to :)

First up, my favorite, Dakota Fanning.  I love how she manages to dress her age, but still look stylish. What do you think? And how about Teri Hatcher...this might be the best we've ever seen her, right?

What are your thoughts on this Carrie Underwood look?  I have to say that I definitely prefer what she wore for the first round.

THANK GOODNESS Dakota Fanning is growing up to be a cute teenager. I was so worried for her as a young actress having to go through that transition in front of the entire world. Typically, child actors who are adorable when they are young turn into quirky teens who need to quit the business for a few years to get through the awkward stages.

But here she is, as pretty as she can be, at the 2009 Palm Springs International Film Festival alongside Sean Penn, Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams and Josh Brolin.

What do you think about what everyone decided to wear? Anne sure loves her black doesn't she? :)

 

 

She's at that age...short dresses and t-strap high heels will probably be the norm for Dakota Fanning from here on out.  Don't get me wrong, I think she looks great, but I'll always see her as that adorable little girl from I Am Sam.

Awww, how cute is this?!?  Dakota Fanning really is that sweet little all American girl...she just became a cheerleader at her high school!  After being homeschooled for most of her life she recently started attending a private school and decided that she wanted to get involved.

"I am a cheerleader. Now everybody always wants me to do cheers.  It's so funny."

She's really getting a sense of community at her new school.

"Cheerleading is so much fun, especially at your school because you get such a sense of school spirit and you're proud of your school. I love that. I'm the one that's on top of the (human) pyramid; I'm the flyer, so that's fun too."

Oh my god...  Dakota Fanning is SO BIG! Here she is at the premiere of her new movie, "Hounddog" at the Village East Cinemas in NYC last night looking all grown up and beautiful in a silver shirt, black pants, and a killer pair of heels. :) Can you believe she's already 14?! The good news is things seem to be going well for her and she's managed to look and act her age. Here's to keeping it that way!

It's the weekend. So I thought I'd give a little shout out to Dakota Fanning since I NEVER cover her. Look at how she's grown. Boy! This was a weekend for award shows eh? Those who didn't attend the American Music Awards walked the red carpet for the 15th Annual Diversity Awards benefiting the Multicultural Motion Picture Association's Educational and Development Scholarship Fund. I was surprised when I saw these recent photos of Dakota Fanning on a movie set in CA with Virginia Madsen. It is good to see Dakota looking happy and healthy. She is about 13 ½ years old and is turning into a very pretty young lady. They grow so quickly! That means we get older too... :)
