Both Kate Hudson and Carrie Underwood shined while receiving awards from the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night.
Kate chose another fantastic dress in a bright blue hue with a sexy thigh slit, while Carrie was vibrant as well in tangerine. I'm curious who you think looked best, or which dress stood out to you the most?

Kate Hudson has been everywhere, hasn't she? (I'm sure you all know by now that Bride Wars comes out this Friday, right?) I fear we've nearly OD'ed on Kate, but this was an intriguing quote that I couldn't pass up.
When Kate says "sex advice," she isn't talking about middle school sex ed. She's talking about advice her mother, Goldie Hawn, gave to her while she was pregnant with her son, Ryder, and still married to singer Chris Robinson.
'People think that you can put your sexual life on hold [after having a baby], but you have to find time for it,' Kate sagely said in the February issue of Elle magazine. 'Without that relationship, our family is broken. My mom really implanted that in me when I was pregnant.' "
This is one of the things that is said to really strain a marriage after a baby is born. But that lack of sleep can really pull a number on a person right? What do you think of Goldie's advice? And how would you feel if your mother sat you down and told you the same thing? I think my jaw would hit the floor.

Holy Smokes!
What do you guys think of what Kate Hudson wore to The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday in New York? She's going to be crazy busy visiting the talk shows to promote her new movie, "Bride Wars" and if this is what she's going to be wearing then I can't wait. There's nothing like a little fashion fitness inspiration. :)
What do you all think of Kate's sexy dress?

Two of my favorite actresses and fashion inspirations, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway arrived to the premiere of their new movie, "Bride Wars" in New York wearing completely different looks. Kate glamed it up in a strapless full length artistic gown and Anne kept things sexy and simple in an all black pantsuit.
I actually stumbled upon the after party last night after seeing all the photographers and people gathering around Tiffany's on 57th. I was going to wait to see them arrive in person, but then I knew these pictures would be available this morning, so I continued on my way. Besides, not sure if the Blackberry photo I would have taken would be High Quality enough for the site. :)

You would think that being the daughter of celebrity royalty, Goldie Hawn, would come with a few perks. However, according to Kate Hudson, she definitely wasn't spoiled as a child.
"It's funny, because everybody thinks I was spoiled and flew first class everywhere, but it's not true."
Her parents would get first class, while Kate and her siblings would fly in the back like the rest of us mere mortals.
"My parents had four children and they weren;t going to pay thousands of dollars for our air fares – can you imagine the cost? They wouldn't do that.
We didn't care – we had each other to play with at the back of the plane, while my parents were traveling in luxury at the front."
I can't believe Goldie would fly separately from her kids...although I imagine this was when they were teenagers. Still, how funny that she would take first class by herself! I wonder if Kate will start doing the same with Ryder when he's older.

Kate Hudson looked great in a white knit cap, jeans, and grey jacket as she left her apartment in New York to promote her new movie, "Bride Wars". I wish I had more pictures of her because I'm loving the outfit from what I can see.
Anyone going this weekend to see the movie? Or is this a renter? I mean, truth be told, I think I could pretty much figure out the ending right? I guess it will be cute to watch the two leads duke it out until they come to their senses.

... in the movie Bride Wars, that is. In real life, stars Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson sat down with Modern Bride to talk about weddings (including the drama) and give an important warning for brides and aspiring brides.
Kate had some key advice for people planning a wedding.
Number one: Make sure you’re ready to get married, that you’re really sure you want to do this. And number two, I would say really good placement of the bar! At a wedding you want to have a good time. Have special cocktails that are really fun for people.”
Anne had this to say about the pressure on brides to look perfect:
I gave up my struggle with perfection a long time ago. That’s a concept I don’t find very interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs... Be happy. Be yourself. The day is about a lot more."
But while looking for that guy to have a wedding with, and during all the hustle and bustle leading up to the wedding, both women warn brides not to forget something: your girlfriends!
Kate thinks the relationships women have with each other are essential.
We all need girlfriends. At my sister-in-law’s wedding shower, my mom said, “I want you guys to look around at each other. At the end of the day, men come and go... Because when trouble happens with boys—which it does—it’s your girlfriends who hold you up.”
Anne seemed to share this sentiment.

Have you ever done this? Gotten out of a really long relationship and just needed some time for yourself to regroup? I most certainly have and am so thankful I took that time off to find myself again.
Kate Hudson is going through something similar after splitting from her husband Chris Robinson. She's dated a bit and now is taking a break from the scene and feels good about doing it.
"I’m actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been.
"I feel good in relationships. I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I’m in something solid. But it’s also the first time I’ve ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective. So, I’ve made a conscious decision to try and stay single as long as possible."

The gorgeous Kate Hudson was photographed leaving a wrap party for the movie, "Nine" with her father Bill Hudson last night in London. I don't think I've ever actually seen these two together before, or at least not recently. It's nice to see a Hollywood father / daughter relationship still in tact. I just love that they're holding hands... :)
On a fashionable note, Kate looks fantastic (as usual) in a pair of black shorts, blazer, and beige colored wrap. Your thoughts on her outfit? Does she ever get it wrong?

Kate Hudson was at LAX yesterday to catch a flight out looking adorable in jeans and a long black satin trench. Anyone else in love with the mix of the super spiffy satin coat with faded denim? I'd never in a million years put those two things together, but Kate somehow makes it work... Like usual.
