I do the same thing - although my snack box usually consists of fish or pretzels. Anything that can last for a while in a diaper bag because I tend to forget to repack! :)

Suri picked up that sweet cookie at Dean and Deluca prior to the trip. I'm trying not to look at how delicious it looks and instead focus on my rice cake instead... love the taste of a mouthful of nothing. Really I do.

These are down times for most people in the U.S., but the recession still hasn’t hit Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. In just six months, Katie has blown through about $14 million dollars! She’s just doing her part to help the economy. :)

The blow by blow is below:

• $13,987 on child care and taking Suri out over the last six months
• A trio of lofts in the building where Tom has owned a loft since 1985.
• $7,000 on installing gym equipment in their home.
• An estimated $7,315 (£5,000) on dining out at top restaurants such as brasserie Balthazar, and sushi restaurant Nobu and more than $17,000 (£11,700) on clothes for Holmes and Suri from shops like Hermes and Bonpoint.

So most of that $14 million looks like it was spent on real estate, and even the purchase of those lofts was denied by their rep. However, I definitely believe that the numbers for shopping and eating out look about right. Katie is spotted ALL THE TIME shopping at high end stores! And plus, dinner at nice places can really add up over time.

Tom Cruise spent some extra time with his fans even after Katie and Suri left the scene. The actor signed autographs and took pictures with anyone who asked. He is always so great like that isn't he? You have to appreciate a celebrity who gives that much back to his fan base. I am sure Tom made their night!

Katie Holmes was spotted arriving back to her apartment in black leggings after her matinée performance on Broadway yesterday. Nearly an hour later, the actress reemerged with Tom Cruise and daughter Suri. For whatever reason, she decided to change into a warm sweater and flared jeans before driving over with her family to her evening show. Katie is always changing into different outfits through out the day which I find both appealing and tiresome.

Which outfit do you guys prefer more? Do you think flared bell bottom jeans will come back?

USA Today ranks celebrities' popularity in the Celebrity Heat Index by measuring how often a celebrity is mentioned in print and online entertainment media outlets.  The celebrities are ranked every week based on how much coverage they receive for the week.  Today they published the results for the entire year.

Britney Spears kept her #1 position for 2008 (she was also #1 in 2007) after being the most-covered celebrity for 11 weeks this year.  The pop star received a monumental amount of press attention this year (which I'm sure none of us will ever forget) between two psychiatric hospitalization and an incredible comeback, including the release of her latest album, Circus.

Angelina Jolie (#2) just edged out Jennifer Aniston (#3), while the third member of the triangle (Brad Pitt) came in at #4.  Although Britney managed to have the most weeks as the most-covered celebrity, Angelina, Jennifer, and Brad had 14 weeks as the most-covered celebrities between the three of them.  I suspect this trio will be tied together until their careers die down.  Well, they say the worst press is no press, right?

Not only is he one of the world's most recognizable movie stars, Tom Cruise is in a happy marriage and loves being a hands-on father to his three children: Isabella (16), Connor (13), and Suri (2).  What more could a person want?

Tom married actress Katie Holmes in 2006 in Bracciano, Italy, after a whirlwind romance and still gushes over his bride.

Married life is very good, very lovely.  I feel lucky to have Kate as my wife. She's an extraordinary woman. She is funny and smart and she likes the same things that I do.
She's a very strong, gracious woman, and a great comedian. I like doing romantic things, such as bringing flowers and surprising her with things. I love candlelit evenings with nice music." 

Sounds like Tom is a good husband, too!  Tom is also determined to be a good father.  He does not want to repeat the mistakes his own father, Thomas Cruise Mapother III, made by being uninvolved in his children's lives.

I'm a great parent. I want to be with my kids, and they get to do all the stuff that I wanted to do when I was growing up. My own father wasn't there much for me and I want to be a different dad to my kids. My family is the most important thing in my life."

Tom refused to allow his divorce from Nicole Kidman hurt his parenting with their two children, Isabella and Connor.

Nic and I are very committed and successful in sharing the parenting."

Tom sounds like a man who has his priorities straight.  Good for him!

Katie Holmes needs to rest up because her husband has big plans for her! The actor recently admitted to The Sun that he wants ten children.  Move over Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt!

"I want ten children. I love kids. I feel really fortunate to have the teenagers and a two and a half-year-old. It’s a great dynamic. (Suri's) so charming, she’s so beautiful, she’s just great."

TEN children! I know that's just the man exaggerating - but people really do end up with that big of a family. I can't even imagine it. Although when you get older and have 25 grandchildren, it must be an amazing feeling!
