Like all working mothers, Bedtime Stories star Keri Russell struggles to balance work with parenting. She's married to carpenter Shane Deary and has a one-year-old son, River. In a truly unusual move for an actress, Keri doesn't even have a live-in nanny! Caring for River is becoming even more challenging as he gets older and more mobile.
'He doesn't really sit still enough. He can't sit on a plane anymore. He's not a little baby. I can't schlep him over on these six-hour flights for three days,' says Russell. 'It gets harder. We're still figuring it out. Thankfully I have a husband who's really involved and great. We finally had to hire a babysitter. She helps me when I'm working. Shane will take days off if I'm really working hard, and when I'm home, I'm really home.'"
Making a children's movie was part of the appeal for Keri's co-star, Adam Sandler, and he used that as part of the motivation for Keri to star in the film, as well.
I was really pregnant when he called to ask me to do it...He called me and said, 'Hey, I have a kid and I hear you're having a kid and I want to make a movie my kid can see and you should do it with me.' I'm not kidding. And I said OK."

Sometimes I end up having to wipe my son's nose on my shirt, so it can't be silk and cost $800.

Holy Coldness!
Here's Keri Russell looking fantastic both in and out of her very warm wool coat at the UK premiere of her new movie, "Bedtime Stories" co-starring Adam Sandler last night in London. Keri is a very "petite" girl and while her peach dress is extremely pretty, it's also short and thin. You KNOW she has to be freezing and is trying to think warm thoughts while posing for photographs on the red carpet.
What do you guys think of her dress?

Keri Russell and her son River were photographed grocery shopping the other day in NYC. We just saw Keri in that same hat a few days ago and I have to say I'm loving it more and more each time I see it. Don't you think Keri is the epitome of cool and casual?
At what age do you stop having to use the sling? I was thinking of getting one for my one year old so I can handle him while running around after my daughter at the pool??? Is he too big? He fits in 24 mos clothing.Â

Keri Russell and her adorable son River were photographed enjoying a summer day in Chelsea and it appears River is already walking. Children grow up so exceptionally fast and as a parent it's a double edged sword. You want them to be potty trained but potty training turns into driving and then they're gone. :(
