Kylie Minogue looked gorgeous in blue as she launched her new fragrance, "Sexy Darling" at the Myer City Store in Sydney, Australia yesterday. I'm IN love with her hair style/color and the bright color of her dress. Has anyone tried her new fragrance?
Right now, "Expanding their brand (launching clothing lines, perfume scents, hair accessories etc)" is winning in the Obsessies with 36% of the votes. Have you voted yet? Only a few days left!Â

Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, and Lindsay Lohan each attended the launch of the new Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah Dubai looking lovely in diamonds and jewels. Check out Lindsay's piece! I would love to know if it reached the million mark.
Which look do you like the best?

Kylie Mingoue started out as an actress, became a wildly successful singer and is now ready to return to her roots. The only problem is she is getting push back from her team!
But comedy just feels so right to Kylie and after spending some time on set with John Maybury's The Edge of Love, she is ready to commit more of her time to the craft.
"I started out as an actress and I thought if I was lucky that would be my career. Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say ‘You can’t be a singer, you’re an actress.’ Then they’re saying, ‘Well you’re a singer, you can’t be an actress.’ "I hate that! If you’re creative, there’s no reason you shouldn’t work in different mediums.
"Recording and being a performer, thankfully that’s gone really well, but now I’m starting to think again about acting."
And Minogue is convinced she has found her niche in comedy.
"It’s so much fun. It’s where I come from so I’m very comfortable to go back to that. It’s not that well known that I’m funny, but I am funny. People who know me will tell you."

That is quite the impact to have on Australia. Kylie Minogue must feel so proud to learn that opening up about her breast cancer battle has inspired more women to get screened for the disease.
Doctor Helen Zorbas has reported that the number of women who make regular appointments to be checked for the disease has risen dramatically - branding it the "Kylie Effect".
Fellow breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate, who had a double mastectomy following her diagnosis in July, was also cited as a reason for the rise in women seeking checks. But Ward warns young women may begin to panic about a rise in the cancer because several famous women have suffered from the disease in recent years.
"You could be forgiven for thinking there was an epidemic among the young. It is important to dispel the misconceptions, address unnecessary alarm and provide the facts for this age group. "The so-called ‘Kylie Effect’ led to an increase in the number of women who made bookings for mammograms but many of these women were in the under 40 age group, where mammographic screening is not effective."

Be honest, when you heard about Beyonce's liquid cleansing diet (recap: cayenne pepper plus lemon juice plus maple syrup equals lots o' time spent "detoxifying" in the bathroom), did you think it was entirely healthy??  I know that the label "cleansing" has been added to that moniker, but we all know the ultimate goal is to be slimmer!! So what do you think about the new installment in Hollywood's quest for "cleansing" (i.e., "quick and easy way to look thinner before a big event"): detoxifying crystal bath salts?
Celebs like Kylie Minogue (love that show-stopping black dress!), Sophie Dahl, and Sadie Frost have been frequenting SpaceNK boutiques for their $85 Ina Cyrstal Bath Salt treatment, which, with a blend of 84 trace minerals, claims to provide the benefits of a three-day detox diet by:
...entering the body and pushing out toxins through your pores."
Jeez, isn't that what your vital organs are for?? I hate to be a devil's advocate, but here's what a professor of environmental toxicology had to say about all this!:
It's true that the body can excrete toxins with perspiration. But the magnitude of toxin removal via perspiration versus the liver or kidneys is relatively minor."
(Hmmm, for some reason, I don't think that will shorten the waiting list at SpaceNK!)

Kylie Minogue has such a big heart. She has just announced that she'll be supporting a huge campaign aimed at raising money for abused children. She'll be working with ChildLine and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) to raise $93 million dollars for the charity so that all kids calling the hotline will be able to get through to someone who can help them in their time of need.
A shortage of funds means that for every youngster calling the charities for help, another cannot get through to an adviser.
Minogue tells British newspaper The Sun, "Finding the courage to tell someone about being abused is one of the most difficult decisions a child will ever have to make.
"Sadly their cries for help are not always heard because ChildLine is unable to speak to every child who rings the 0800 1111 number. We can all help to change that by supporting the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal and make sure those children no longer face their troubles alone."
What a great cause. To find out how you can help, visit the charity's website.

So, what you are telling me is for four days of work, Kylie Minogue will earn a cool million dollars (insert picture of Dr. Evil at will). Now, that's a job I wouldn't mind waking up in the morning for! Can. You. Imagine?
The Australian singer is set to be the star performer at a four-day event to open the Atlantis resort in the United Arab Emirates city. And more than 2,000 guests are expected to turn up to see Minogue perform. A source tells Britain’s Daily Star,
"This will be Kylie’s first Middle East show and it should be really special. There will be no expense spared."
