THANK GOODNESS Dakota Fanning is growing up to be a cute teenager. I was so worried for her as a young actress having to go through that transition in front of the entire world. Typically, child actors who are adorable when they are young turn into quirky teens who need to quit the business for a few years to get through the awkward stages.
But here she is, as pretty as she can be, at the 2009 Palm Springs International Film Festival alongside Sean Penn, Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams and Josh Brolin.
What do you think about what everyone decided to wear? Anne sure loves her black doesn't she? :)

Kate Winslet gets prettier and prettier as time goes by. It's almost amazing. What a knock out!
Here she is alongside Sam Mendes and Leonardo DiCaprio at the world premiere of Revolutionary Road held at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, CA.
Who's excited about this movie? Is it because Leo and Kate are reuniting on the big screen? Or do you like the storyline? Are you hoping it will match up to the relationship they had in Titantic? I am very excited about this flick - although I think I will wait until it comes out on DVD to see it.
Also in attendance were Thora Birch and Russell Crowe.

"Over the years, I would find myself stopping and saying, ‘’I don’t know if we should do this again.'’ And then I’d think, ‘’What are you, an idiot? Why wouldn’t I want to work with the best actress of her generation? Am I going to be prejudiced against a project just because Kate’s in it?'’
"I think we both had been actively looking for something else to do together, but we fundamentally knew that we couldn’t tread on any sort of similar territory."
-- Leonardo DiCaprio talking about the thought of working with Kate Winslet again
Who would you say is the best actress of our generation?

That means you Zac and Rob!!
Leonardo DiCaprio has officially crossed over the threshold hasn't he? Now he is giving out the advice instead of taking it. With such a handsome baby face, it's hard to listen him as an authoritative figure. But this is one subject the actor knows all about.
"Well, they’ve been given an unbelievable opportunity, and I hope they know within themselves that all that really matters at the end of the day is the work.
"All this noise and attention will absolutely deteriorate and there will be a new, fresh piece of meat for the media to focus on within less than a year’s time.
"So what they should do at this moment is work their asses off to prove to the public and prove to themselves that they can absolutely have a long-term career."
How many of these young hunky actors are going to be around in five years? Who has that staying power?

Smart man.
Leonardo DiCaprio no longer wants to play the game. And instead of wasting more time dodging and hiding from photographers, the actor plans to quietly move somewhere other than LA where he can go to the market without being hounded.
His Malibu home is now on the market for $9 million.
Leo recently said he isn't going to help the paparazzi make any more money off of his life because of the dangerous way they go about getting their shot.
"The mere fact that these - I’ll use the word piles - are earning money from exploiting my image is the only reason I hide myself or am not a photo-friendly person. I do not like the way they conduct themselves. I think they’re disrespectful and dangerous. The reason I don’t pose or smile or that I seem mad is that I don’t want them to make a living off my private life."

Frank and April have always seen themselves as special, different, ready and willing to live their lives based on higher ideals. So, as soon as they move into their new house on Revolutionary Road, they proudly declare their independence from the suburban inertia that surrounds them and determine never to be trapped by the social confines of their era.Revolutionary Road opens in theaters December 26th, 2008.
Yet for all their charm, beauty and irreverence, the Wheelers find themselves becoming exactly what they didn’t expect: a good man with a routine job whose nerve has gone missing; a less-than-happy homemaker starving for fulfillment and passion; an American family with lost dreams, like any other.
Driven to change their fates, April hatches an audacious plan to start all over again, to leave the comforts of Connecticut behind for the great unknown of Paris. But when the plan is put in motion, each spouse is pushed to extremes – one to escape whatever the cost, the other to save all that they have, no matter the compromises.

Leonardo DiCaprio NEVER gives the paparazzi an easy shot. That's really turned a lot of fans off in the past. People think he's ungrateful for his fame and influence. But, Leo says that's not so...he's just trying to live his life without other people making money off him.
Actually, I’m not in the tabloids anymore. I am sometimes, but I’ve watched the culture change. I’m old hat. And I love it. You know what it is with me? This is something I’d like to clarify. I’ve heard people say, “Because you hide, it makes you seem ungrateful.” The mere fact that these—I’ll use the word piles—are earning money from exploiting my image is the only reason I hide myself or am not a photo-friendly person. I do not like the way they conduct themselves. I think they’re disrespectful and dangerous. The reason I don’t pose or smile or that I seem mad is that I don’t want them to make a living off my private life.
What do you think? Leonardo is at the point in his career where he no longer needs the paparazzi attention to get him buzz and land the big roles. So then is it fair he says he doesn't want them making a living off his photos?

What a great stance to take! Leonardo DiCaprio is still as dedicated as ever to the environment, but the actor has promised to tone down his efforts in trying to get everyone else to jump on board with his plans. He understands that not everyone can afford some of the steps that are necessary in keeping this world green. Solar panels and hybrid cards are just too much of an expense for most families to absorb.
So instead, Leo just hopes that people remain aware and do whatever they can to participate.
"Yes, I have solar panels and all that sort of stuff. However, the more I learn about the subject matter, I also realize that people find it patronizing. They feel like they’re being told what to do when somebody like me talks about the fact I have solar panels."
"Not everybody can get solar panels and not everyone can drive a hybrid car. It’s not about blame or telling people how to live, it’s just about saying, ‘Let’s all be aware of these issues’."

Leonardo DiCaprio knows a thing or two about being a teen heart throb. I mean, seriously, who didn't see Titanic at least twice in the theater?? But, Leo is ready to pass on the torch.
"I look at young Zac Efron and think ‘Go get it pal, leave me in peace.’ I was never happy with the teen idol tag at all - never wanted to be a sex symbol or all that stuff - it was the work that appealed to me. Really nothing else. (I have) total respect for how young stars like Zac handle it all. Really total respect.”
I'm just amazed that Leo knows who Zac Efron is! That doesn't really seem like the sort of scene he keeps up with. Does this mean he's a High School Musical fan? :P

Leonardo DiCaprio was looking quite handsome as he posed for pictures at the photocall for his new movie, "Body of Lies" in Paris yesterday. I'm a huge fan of Leo's not just because he's handsome, but because he's extremely talented.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and it reminded me what really happens while in a state of war. It's so easy to think that everything is done behind closed doors in rooms with big computers. But there are actually people on the street risking their lives in such unimaginable way attempting to gather intelligence for their nation. You forget about those undercover men and women.
