She's wants to do good - to give back to the world after obtaining such fortune and fame - but Lindsay Lohan fears that the public will misinterpret her deeds as a press stunt. Here she is talking with Interview Magazine about the downfalls of being a celebrity.

You know what's hard? I want to give back. I want to do all the things that will make me feel fulfilled. But whenever I do those things, people think it's a press stunt or something. Because they do find me, and there's really no way of hiding from that. And the second that you complain about it, they say, "Well, this is what you wanted, so this is what you're going to get." That's all people see it as now. It's not, "No, I just want to have some time for myself." There are things I want to do, and people don't understand that.

Who could blame her? That's pretty much what people say every time a celebrity lends a helping hand. I say, do it anyway! You'll be helping more people than hurting and who cares what the nay-sayers feel. No matter what celebs do, negative people will always see it as something wrong anyway right?  Live your life how you want to.

The industry has certainly taken a toll on Lindsay's self esteem. She's been beaten down so hard by the press and her own (corrected) mistakes, that when someone actually has nice things to say to her, the actress doesn't know how to take it. 

You know, I was with this guy Jerry Inzerillo recently, who was running the whole Atlantis [The Palm resort opening celebration] in Dubai. And when I saw him, he started complimenting me, telling me how I reminded him of these other actresses. I literally just sat there . . . He was just saying these really nice things to me that people don't really ever say, and I started crying. I was like, "Oh, my God, I'm so sorry that I'm crying!" But I was just so emotional about it . . . I'm a Cancer, which means I'm maternal and emotional. So in relationships I'm screwed.

I realize that news is always slow around this time of the year. I thought January 2nd would bring about a new wave of stories, but we all have to wait until Monday for the gossip world to return to normal.

WHILE WE WAIT, we have stories like this to hold us over. Are Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson moving to Dubai? According to the Daily Mirror, these two ladies are already packing their bags!!

While vacationing on Dubai, the pair supposedly fell in love with the Palm Island resort. Add that to the fact that they are both desperate to get away from the paparazzi and here we all are. Rumor has it that Lindsay just bought a $2.18 million pad in the Middle-Eastern state and the couple is planning on moving there full time.

"Lindsay and Sam loved the tacky glitziness of Dubai. There is so much money and opulence out there it really impressed Lindsay - she can be quite materialistic like that. Despite her fair skin, Lindsay loves the beach and sunshine.

"And with the property market over there probably the only place where there still seems to be a boom, she thinks it will be a wise investment.

"There isn’t as much paparazzi either - although that’s sure to change once Lindsay and Sam become regulars on the scene."

What do you think? Could there be an ounce of fact to this? Let's not assume they are moving there full term. But can you see Lindsay purchasing a vacation spot there?

It's never too early to start buying swimwear for summer. Lindsay Lohan was spotted on Miami beach wearing an adorable black bikini with chain detail. You can get the same bikini for $121. I think Lindsay Lohan is obsessed with black sheer leggings, but maybe it's a fetish. I know I have, I love wearing them, and can get turned on by it. So maybe it's the same with her. Maybe a little with fashion, but come on she ALWAYS wearing them

The beach is the place to be isn't it? This morning we had Adrien Grenier playing with dolphins and now we have a variety of celebs taking advantage of the sun.

Kelly Brook and boyfriend Danny Cipriani enjoyed a day at the beach while on a romantic Carribbean vacation. Lindsay Lohan spent her New Year's Eve afternoon on the beach in Miami with friends. At one point, a young boy kissed Lindsay on the cheek while looking at the cameras.  That young man knows what he is doing! LOL

Last but not least, check out the CROWD Paris Hilton and her new "BFF" Brittany Flickinger drew in while they posed for photos at Bondi Beach. UNREAL!

USA Today ranks celebrities' popularity in the Celebrity Heat Index by measuring how often a celebrity is mentioned in print and online entertainment media outlets.  The celebrities are ranked every week based on how much coverage they receive for the week.  Today they published the results for the entire year.

Britney Spears kept her #1 position for 2008 (she was also #1 in 2007) after being the most-covered celebrity for 11 weeks this year.  The pop star received a monumental amount of press attention this year (which I'm sure none of us will ever forget) between two psychiatric hospitalization and an incredible comeback, including the release of her latest album, Circus.

Angelina Jolie (#2) just edged out Jennifer Aniston (#3), while the third member of the triangle (Brad Pitt) came in at #4.  Although Britney managed to have the most weeks as the most-covered celebrity, Angelina, Jennifer, and Brad had 14 weeks as the most-covered celebrities between the three of them.  I suspect this trio will be tied together until their careers die down.  Well, they say the worst press is no press, right?
