Maggie Gyllenhaal and actor Denis O'Hara were photographed taking a stroll through New York in between rehearsals for her upcoming off-Broadway play, "Uncle Vayna" yesterday. It has to be hard on Maggie, someone who started out small starring mostly in Independent films, to have to deal with the success of Batman. That movie most certainly made her more main stream, and I'm not sure she is too happy about it.Â

In addition to being romantic partners in real-life, Hollywood couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are partnering on-stage. They are preparing to star in an off-Broadway production of Uncle Vanya, which is being produced by the Classic Stage Company.
Maggie has been cast as Yelena, the young wife of an old professor. Uncle Vanya is a tragic comedy written by Anton Chekhov. Previews are scheduled to begin on January 17, 2009, with a limited run until March 1, 2009. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Maggie and Peter are parents to two-year-old Ramona.Â

Well, that pretty much takes care of the entire cast doesn't it?
Blake Lively is with Penn Badgley. Ed Westwick is with Jessica Szohr and now Taylor Momsen is with Chace Crawford.Â
Page Six is reporting the pair were sneaking smooches at Haven on East 51st Street. No rep confirmation as of yet... like we need it.Â
Chace was spotted last night with several of his Gossip Girl castmates at the Ray-Ban Remasters event at the Bowery Ballroom. He partied the night away alongside Diane Kruger and Maggie Gyllenhaal as well.Â

Ok, so it isn't THAT cold in NYC, but it did snow last night! The paps caught up with a few leading ladies snapping how they took on the weather.
Naomi Watts took advantage of the BundleMe for her stroller as she took a brisk walk with son, Alex. It seemed that little tot was getting hungry as Naomi had to stop for a Cheerios break.
Katie Holmes stepped out in a cozy grey sweater and classic black dress after last night's Broadway performance. To change it up a bit, she opted for patterned tights!
Rachel Weisz and her family were seen exiting their downtown home and getting into their car. The actress nurses a cup o Joe to work on warming up her insides.
And last but not least, we have Maggie Gyllenhaal walking through the village in a flower hat and a smile. Ok, no smile... but it's her just the same. :)

Maggie Gyllenhaal helped Duracel launch their 2008 'Help Power A Smile' Campaign at the Children's Museum of Manhattan in New York last night. I love to see celebrities helping and getting involved with a variety of causes. For a while I was attempting to launch a website solely dedicated to covering those that did. But it ended up not catching on so I took it off the burner (for now).Â
Maggie always strikes me as a very down to earth kind of girl. She never goes crazy with her wardrobe when invited to events. What do you think about the printed dress she wore to the campaign launch? How about matching it with black tights?

Hot off the press - this is the exact email I received from PETA a few minutes ago responding to the fur piece Maggie Gyllenhaal wore to the Moma Film Benefit:
---
PETA likes to give everyone, celebrity or average Joe, the benefit of the doubt that any fur that they might be wearing is totally faux. So after seeing pictures of Maggie Gyllenhaal in her latest fashion risk, PETA contacted her rep for a simple confirmation that she wasn't really sporting the body of a dead animal. Unfortunately, we've received no response.
Considering the fact that Maggie has aligned herself with a number of "green" charitable projects, it would be ironic and obviously hypocritical for Maggie to be draped in fur—the product of violence and environmental degradation.
Of course, we still hope to hear from Maggie that her vest isn't as vile as it seems, but if we don't, we can only assume that Maggie has joined the likes of the Trollsen Twins, who are known for routinely wearing real fur.
We’ll certainly let you know if we receive a response.
Best,
Amy

And there you have it! I wonder what they will say when Maggie's rep confirms it was real fur...

Who cares what this event is about?? All I care about is what Peta is going to say about Maggie Gyllenhaal's choice of garb. That vest of fur most certainly is a standout piece amongst blacks and greys. I wonder if Maggie thought about what they would think about her selection? Is she ready for the Peta wrath?
Besides Maggie, Peter Sarsgaard, Donald Trump, Melanie Trump and Jessica Biel attended the MoMa Film Benefit Gala Honoring Baz Luhrmann. No sign of Justin Timberlake during arrivals.
Click on the thumbnails below to see the pic of Donald and Melanie. She's started to do the Donald squint. That's what happens when you live together long enough.

Celebs including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Robert Buckley, Cynthia Nixon, and Tyson Beckford attended the AT&T Blackberry Bold U.S. launch party at a private triplex in New York City's Tribeca area last night. I love the life of a celeb. You know each one of them got to walk away with a few goodies in their gift bag.
Not jealous I swear...
Here is a red carpet video for those of you who like to see these celebs in action:

Maggie Gyllenhaal arrived to the opening night of, "The Seagull" on Broadway last night wearing a very dour all black ensemble. How do we all feel about the fit and length of this outfit? Does it work as best as it should? Or is it perfect just the way it is?
