Want Mariah Carey to perform at a private event? She'll do it, but it will cost you. The price of flying the diva in for 3 or 4 songs is a whopping $1 MILLION DOLLARS!

And that's what Mariah was doing on New Year's Eve this year. A businessman in St. Bart's paid for her to sing at his party and as soon as she finished, the partied the night away with some of the other celebrities in attendance, including Beyonce, Timbaland, Jay-Z, Daniel Craig and more.

Let's just talk for a minute here...would you EVER spend that kind of money on a private celebrity appearance/performance, even if you had that kind of cash to toss around? 

Wonder if these Dior boots are what's inside Ashlee Simpson's holiday present from earlier in the morning? :)

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were photographed leaving the back entrance of CBS studios after making an appearance fo Macy's 'Believe' Campaign and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Mariah surprised a special child live on the show and showered her with presents!! What a wonderful thing to do!

The NY Daily News is reporting that Mariah Carey has canceled her upcoming tour. It isn't official yet, but a source says that a meeting was held with costume designers and dancers telling them the schedule was scrapped. 

"Costume designers and dancers were all called Wednesday and told the tour is off. Most were hysterically crying because they were relying on her for a paycheck this holiday season."

The reason behind the cancellation? The singer is pregnant with Nick Cannon's first child. This is still all speculation of course!A representative for Carey says Mariah is not with child.

"I have not been told she’s pregnant."

Well, "I have not been told she’s pregnant." is different than "Mariah is not pregnant" I suppose... 

L-O-L!!

Ok, so Page Six is reporting that Mariah Carey was found exiting a "well-known ob/gyn's office on North Crescent Boulevard, clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers".

So let me get this straight...

Mariah walked out of a doctor's office and displayed her new sonogram photo to her entourage and they broke out in applause once seeing it?

IF they would have stopped at "clutching what looked like a sonogram", perhaps I would believe it. But Mariah going in with several of her staff waiting outside to see results and then cheering is a bit too much for me to handle. 

What do you think about this story? Is Mariah the type of person that would want to be greeted by cheers once she confirmed she was pregnant? Or is this completely bogus?

Not that it matters these days, but a rep released the following statement:

"As far as I'm told it's not true."

Ellen DeGeneres is one sneaky cookie! When Mariah Carey came on her show, she popped opened a bottle of champagne to toast the singer's future pregnancy. But Mariah wouldn't take a sip!

"I can’t believe you did this to me, Ellen. This is peer pressure!"

Even though Mariah wasn't playing along,  DeGeneres didn’t let the issue go, asking the Grammy-winner again if she was with child, to which Carey replied,

"I can’t believe her… I didn’t say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home like, on the computer like, ‘What are you talking about?’ We will let you know when we’re going to have a family."

Recently, Carey said she only considered becoming a mother after marrying Cannon in April:

"I’ve changed my mind because I am with The One. I think we would make good parents, and that we’d be able to figure everything out together."

What do you think? Mariah didn't drink the champagne because she wasn't up to it? Or because she is in her first trimester? 

The better question is - Do you think Mariah will EVER go back on Ellen's show!!!?

Starring alongside Dakota Fanning in the upcoming movie Push, Mariah Carey is giving acting another go. Ok, maybe starring is a big word to describe the role she took on. The singer has claim on "a little scene", but it's a "very important" one.

"I'm not going to be a pretty picture. The role's a supporting part - a little scene - but it's a very important scene. I don't want to reveal what happens, but my character is important because things are revealed through her."

Mariah's character is a social worker. Oh boy! Raise your hand if you watched Glitter.

Either way, I like the sound of this one as I am a sci-fi thriller kinda gal.

The action packed sci-fi thriller involves a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must utilize their different talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape the agency forever.

Mariah Carey never fails to entertain.  She has such an amazing voice and is a great performer.  She received a Special Achievement Award at the World Music Awards last night and of course Nick Cannon was there to support his wife. 

This weekend when Mariah and Nick arrived to the airport in Nice, France, you are never going to guess she was wearing.  Yes, the woman traveled in a ball gown.  Or at the very least she walked off the plane in that outfit.
