I love how Nick Cannon's birthday banner has Mariah Carey's name on it. Is that because they are trying to draw more people wanting to attend? Or is that because Mariah wanted to have some press for herself on his big day?

Mariah hosted a birthday bash for her husband at Pure in Vegas. So many parties are thrown there! What is their deal and how to they get all the celebs to choose their venue? I've never been, so I don' t know what the club is like.

The buzz has been building for some time now, and where there's smoke there's usually fire...so maybe we should keep our baby bump radars ready to go when it comes to Mariah Carey.  She's on the cover of Life & Style this week with, "Baby Boom!" right under her name.  Although this might be one of those things where she doesn't talk about babies at all and it's just another misleading cover to get you hooked. :)

Also in the rags this week: Jennifer Aniston has had lipo and Angelina Jolie isn't eating.  Hey, they might be made up stories but at least they're different made up stories than the usual love triangle between Jen, Angie and Brad!

And what do you think about the Jen-lipo story...fact or fiction?  I mean, if she has had lipo would you really judge her with all the pressure in Hollywood to have the perfect body?

Mariah Carey will soon be announced as a global ambassador for a hunger relief charity today.  She'll be working with Yum! Foundation (owner of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC) to raise money for the cause.

As ambassador, Carey will appear in posters in more than 36,000 stores in over 112 countries.

Carey wants fans to donate money and download her song Love Story at FromHungerToHope.com - 25 cents from every download will go to the foundation.

I understand that artists need to promote themselves but sometimes I wonder...couldn't she donate all the proceeds from the download?  Honestly, it was probably her record label's decision since they're the ones who need to make money off her.  I'm pretty sure Mariah Carey herself isn't hurting for cash. :)

I guess not everybody hated Glitter. :)  Mariah Carey has landed another big acting role in a film called Push.  A director saw her in her most recent movie, Tennessee and cast her for Push right away.

Director Lee Daniels was so impressed with her grit that he's cast her in "Push," in which she plays a Harlem social worker ministering to an obese, HIV-positive woman impregnated twice by her father. 

That's not all.  Mariah is also doing a Christmas musical.

It's about a town outside a city - perhaps not unlike Mariah's hometown of Huntington, L.I. - where a ruthless developer wants to turn it into one big mall.

"Mariah doesn't want to let that happen," says her producing partner Benny Medina. "Her character uses song and love to keep the Christmas spirit alive."

Hmmm, will you be giving Mariah's acting skills another chance?

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were all smiles at the 12th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival screening of 'Tennessee' at AMC Loews in New York City. I mean, how cute do they look together? And Mariah's face looks so different to me for some reason - perhaps it's genuine joy?

E! News has exclusively confirmed that Mariah Carey is officially representing herself having just reassigned  longtime talent manager Benny Medina.

Mariah Carey and Medina, who have worked together for more than five years, both say that they will continue to collaborate: Medina's Handprint Entertainment will continue to develop content for, and with, the singer, but Carey's own Maroon Entertainment will be managing her career.

Despite rumors that they had a fallen out, Mariah insists that a working relationship will remain:

"Press Reports have not been accurate," Carey said in a statement. "Benny Medina and I will continue to work together on projects both present and in the future. I'm looking forward to working with Benny on what we have been developing, and to his continued involvement in my creative life."

Medina, who recently parted ways with Usher, issued the following statement:

"Being as involved as I have been over the last five years, I am reminded how great teamwork leads to great success. This affords me the opportunity to work on some great projects with Mariah, including the upcoming tour, an HBO Christmas movie and a variety music show for CBS, as well as to pursue some of my other [productional] interests."

I can't even stand it, so much talent and diva power in one room!  Music royalty, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyonce and Nick Cannon were photographed leaving rehearsals for Fashion Rocks at the Rockefeller Center.

I love how in every photo we see of the two of them Nick is always holding Mariah's hand and guiding her.  He looks so in love. :)

Everyone does it. We have our fallbacks, the thing you always buy even though you have a million of them at home. For some it's shoes, for others it's the handbag. Mariah Carey has a little obsession with short skirts. I can just IMAGINE what her closet looks like. One whole section split out by color and fabric. All mini's from around the world.
