Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay were joined by Luke Perry for some NYC filming of an episode of Law and Order: SVU in the Meat Packing District. Guess with the 90210 show coming back to life, our old favorites have suddenly become marketable again.

Good for them! I always wonder about people who were really famous in the 90s that fly under the radar these days. What are they doing? Do they go back to work and get regular jobs? Or do they have enough money to live a comfortable life with their family? 

PS: I love how Christpoher's button down doesn't have sleeves. It helps with the heat while he is filming wearing a suit jacket.

Mommy Mariska Hargitay took her adorable son August to work with her on the set of Law and Order: SVU. What a cutie pie! I love how she is wearing a police badge and in costume. August is too young to appreciate what an amazing job his mommy really has.SPLASH

Thursday was a big day for celebrities to promote charity! Grey's Anatomy's Chandra Wilson was on hand at a Habitat for Humanity project in Los Angeles. Chandra has teamed up with Folger's to raise money for the charity.Mariska Hargitay and LL Cool J helped the Today show kick off Jumpstart's "Read for the Record." The program encourages children and adults to read the same book together all over the nation every day for a month.I think it's great they're all out supporting these causes. It's something I would love to see more of.

Mariska Hargitay showed off a new hair style at the Cookie Magazine's first annual Smart Cookie Award ceremony. What do you think about the look? It wasn't her decision to chop off her locks. It was a choice the higher ups at Law and Order made for her. Either way, she is amazing. Mariska was one of the many celebrity honorees in attendance. Mariska Hargitay's father, Mickey passed away at the age of 80.  At least he got to meet his grandchild and see his daughter win an Emmy. My heart goes out to the family.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay's bodybuilder father Mickey Hargitay has died after a lengthy illness. He was 80. The Hungarian strongman, who was married to Jayne Mansfield, died last Thursday. Hargitay was in hospital being treated for a mystery illness when his daughter gave birth to her first child in June. The actress had to dash from a scheduled appearance on America's The Tonight Show earlier this summer to be by her father's bedside, and she broke down in tears as she paid tribute to him when she won her first Emmy Award in August. She told reporters the best thing about winning an Emmy was "that my dad was gonna be really happy." Born Miklos Hargitay in 1926, the bodybuilder fled his native Hungary in 1947 to escape the compulsory Soviet military draft. Hargitay won the Mr. Universe bodybuilding title in 1955 and made his mark as a movie star in The Loves Of Hercules after appearing in Mae West's New York revue. Before gaining fame, he worked as a carpenter and plumber, and famously remodeled the Pink Palace - the Hollywood home he shared with Mariska's mother Mansfield.  (source)
