A few Hollywood favorites were spotted making some last minute trips before the New Year. Whitney Port, star of the new MTV reality program - The City, took to the skies looking very comfy casual as she walked through LAX. Natalie Portman zipped by the paparazzi holding onto her four-legged friend while Kim Basinger made a surprise public appearance. Now that's a rarity! 

Did anyone catch The City? What did you think? I didn't even DVR it truth be told.

Natalie Portman looked beautiful as she filmed a scene for her movie, "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" in Central Park yesterday. There is something so simple about her face and yet she's incredibly, head turning attractive.

Natalie is a prime example of someone in Hollywood that is both beautiful and talented YET finds a way to live her life very privately. Just when I think it's impossible, I remember it is.

The always adorable Natalie Portman was photographed filming a scene for, "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" at the Wollman Rink in NYC yesterday.  I just read that as a young working actress her parents wanted her to have a "normal" life so she was only allowed to make movies during the summer. Proof that you can make it in Hollywood AND still be a normal human being as long as you have good parents. :)

Natalie Portman was photographed walking around the set of her new movie, "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" which is being filmed in the Upper East side of NYC.  I almost always love the movies that Natalie's in, so I'm sure this one will be no different.

A comedy/drama that details the story of a woman's difficult relationship with her stepson.

The movie is based on a book which will make the book readers upset and non book readers excited because they don't have to pick up the hardcover. The story is quite dramatic and sent chills up my spine as I read an extended synopsis. I will put it under the cut just in case you aren't in a dark mood this morning.

I love how red carpet events in NYC usually don't have red carpets. The actors and actresses just walk on the street into whatever venue the function chose to use. That's a big difference between the East and the West.

America Ferrera, Kate Bosworth, Natalie Portman, Jane Krakowski, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Fergie, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Taylor Swift, Debra Messing, and Tyra Banks all stepped out to attend the 2008 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards held at the Carnegie Hall. 

Nicole obviously was the recipient and while wearing a L'Wren Scott cream sheath down the red carpet, she said about her win: "It's such a privilege. I feel a little overwhelmed."

Natalie Portman is looking for a new place to call home.  Just weeks after the Star Wars actress ended her romance with Devendra Banhart, she has sold the West Village condominium she's lived in for the past three years for $6.55 million.

All in, Natalie made $850,000 profit on the apartment!! The home, in the trendy Charles Street neighborhood, boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a huge balcony.

Another of my favorite leading ladies, Natalie Portman was photographed arriving to LAX with her dog Charlie in tow yesterday.  I quite admire Natalie and find she's a cut above the rest in Hollywood. Not only does she have a degree from Harvard but she's always doing as much as she can for charitable organizations.

Natalie wasn't the only one spotted at the airport. Bar Refaeli and Jaime Pressly were also there.

WHAT are they talking about?! I can't believe Natalie Portman and  Devendra Banhart have called it quits. This first picture was haunting when I first saw it. You can literally see the intensity in Portman's eyes. 

Naturally, we will never know why and quite frankly... it isn't our business. But I was really rooting for this pair.

People Magazine is reporting that Natalie and Devendra have gone separate ways via a source. Perhaps a rep will deny this claim later on in the day.
