Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey is hosting "The Dempsey Challenge: A Journey for Hope," which will be a 100-mile bike ride through his homestate of Maine.  Patrick has two goals for the challenge: to get people moving and raise money for a Maine cancer center that is named after him.

'I wanted to do something that is true to me,' said Dempsey, who has been an active cyclist for about three years. 'It's promoting health and taking care of your body.'"

Patrick is hoping to attract well-known cyclists, including, you guessed it, the world's most famous cyclist, Lance Armstrong, along with other professional racers.

'We will extend an invitation to him and hopefully he'll come,' he said. 'He's done a lot for cycling and cancer, so it would be a wonderful thing to have him there.' "

That does seem like a great fit with Lance's interest in fundraising for cancer.

And if you've never cycled for 100 miles straight before?  No worries; you're not the only one.

Vroom! Vroom!

Hunky Patrick Dempsey was spotted driving his GORGEOUS Grey vintage Jaguar around Los Angeles yesterday afternoon. How many of you would give your right leg (or maybe just a finger) to ride around town in that car with that man?!

I wonder how many cars he owns that are classics? He should start hanging out with Jay Leno.

Lauren Conrad arrived to The Hope Honors event hosted by The Avon Foundation at Cipriani in NYC last night looking stylish as usual. You know, I think the reason why Lauren has become SO popular is her great sense of style. She reminds me a bit of Nicole Richie and how so often they're photographed because of what they wear. I'm deinitely on the Lauren Conrad bandwagon... :)

Also in attendance was American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, who looked lovely in a black dress and red wool coat, and Patrick Dempsey who can do no wrong in a classic black suit and green eyes. ;)

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon looked as happy as can be as they arrived to the Whitney Gala sponsored by Versace last night in NYC. Doesn't Mariah seem so grounded as of late? I feel like something has changed about her. Even Mariah's demeanor seems to have been calmed.

Patrick Dempsey, looking amazing in a tux (as usual), attended the event escorting Donatella Versace. Can you think of Donatella without thinking about SNL mocking her!? It's actually impossible for me to split the two apart.

Last but not least we have Christina Ricci looking fab at the event. Sad to say there really aren't many pictures available of her dress at the moment. I'm officially on the hunt!

Love a man with a sense of humor!

Sorry, I know to many Patrick Dempsey is thought of as McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy. But every time I see him, all I can think about are his movies from the 80s - Can't Buy me Love and Loverboy. He always played this geeky little reject who somehow got very lucky with the ladies.

Either way, I have a quote that is going to knock your socks off. Patrick likes a little spanking in the bedroom. Yeah, you heard me. 

"Romance is an atmosphere, a feeling, a mood, a place, it’s in the air. It is the little things - even a spanking every now and then! It is hard to define romance other than going with the cliches of a lake, a boat, a picnic basket and a sunset."

Yeah Patrick! Way to change it up a bit.

And boy does that man look good in a tux.

Talk about going in a different direction!  Both guys are hot, but have seriously different looks, not to mention totally different fan bases.  Versace is rumored to be considering replacing Patrick Dempsey with Chace Crawford as the face of the label, when Patrick's contract is up in '09.

Versace's rep said,

"We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace - and that is all we can say on the subject. Patrick Dempsey is contracted with us through Spring/Summer 2009. It is undetermined who will replace him at this time."

Patrick Dempsey took his one and a half year old son to school in Santa Monica this past weekend for a special event that I'm sure he and his little boy enjoyed. Again ladies, is there anything sexier then a dad spending time with his children? I think not.  Especially if they look like Patrick....  :)

Patrick Dempsey was looking handsome as usual while racing at the Rolex Grand-Am Series Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida yesterday. I have a soft spot for Patrick and the fact that he loves to race is just another reason why he's sexy to me. 

I am sad to say that Patrick has NOTHING in the works at the moment. I guess he will live off of his Made of Honor paycheck for a while.
