CSI: Miami star Eva La Rue said she was wary of marriage after two divorces, but now-fiance Joe Cappuccio changed her mind.  She's now planning a destination wedding in Mexico for June.

I told him, 'I'm looking for a long-term companion, but I don't see the sense in getting married again,' Eva tells InStyle Weddings about her first date with the seafood importer, who has also been married twice. 'Within a month or two, we were both on the wedding train. It just seemed silly not to marry the person you've loved more than anybody.'"

Eva anticipates about 40 guests for her wedding, including her former All My Children co-stars, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kelly Ripa.

Eva was formerly married to John O'Hurley and John Callahan.

I love how red carpet events in NYC usually don't have red carpets. The actors and actresses just walk on the street into whatever venue the function chose to use. That's a big difference between the East and the West.

America Ferrera, Kate Bosworth, Natalie Portman, Jane Krakowski, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Fergie, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Taylor Swift, Debra Messing, and Tyra Banks all stepped out to attend the 2008 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards held at the Carnegie Hall. 

Nicole obviously was the recipient and while wearing a L'Wren Scott cream sheath down the red carpet, she said about her win: "It's such a privilege. I feel a little overwhelmed."

Ok, wait, WHAT?!? Buffy the Vampire Slayer is being pinpointed, amongst other reasons as onf of the causes of women in England leaving traditional Christian churches. Dr. Kristin Aune has been doing research for a book on women and religion, and she came to the following conclusion:

“In short, women are abandoning the church. Because of its focus on female empowerment, young women are attracted by Wicca, popularised by the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Young women tend to express egalitarian values and dislike the traditionalism and hierarchies they imagine are integral to the church.”

First of all, the show is pretty old now. Secondly, how easily influenced would a person have to be in order to leave their church based on religion in a TV show?!?

Well, isn't today the day for birthday coverage? The very beautiful Mila Kunis celebrated her big day alongside boyfriend Macaulay Culkin and good friend Sarah Michelle Gellar. Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted rowing a boat while wearing an angelic white dress. Sarah is filming scenes at Rockland Lake State Park for her upcoming film "Veronika Decides To Die." In the film, Gellar is diagnosed by doctors that she has only five days to live. Cannot WAIT to see this one.

Sarah Michelle Gellar was photographed leaving the set of her new movie, Veronika Decides to Die in the West Village yesterday. It's nice to see Sarah out and about, especially working on a new movie. Veronika Decides to Die is a drama and a book that I LOVE.

Veronika is a woman who wakes up in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. She discovers that she has a weakened heart and only days to live. The film follows her recovery as she finds true love and a newfound will to survive

At first, when I heard Lottery, I thought of that short story you had to read while in High School about the town whose lottery winners had to die. Did you read that? UGH - scared the you know what out of me. I looked up Patricia Wood's novel by the same name and it's an entirely different scenario. Lucky for all of us, Sarah Michelle Gellar found interest in it and has optioned its movie rights. Could this be her next project?
Here is a break down according to Amazon:

Perry Crandall has an IQ of 76, but is not retarded, as he'll have you know: his IQ would need to be less than 75 for that, and he knows the difference even if others may not. Perry, the 32-year-old narrator of Wood's warm-fuzzy debut, has worked at the same marine supply store for half his life and lives with his wisecracking grandmother Gram, whose gems of folk wisdom help him along. But when Gram dies, Perry's selfish, money-grubbing family members swoop in and swindle him out of the proceeds from the sale of her house - ”and then come a-knocking again when Perry wins $12 million in the Washington State Lottery. Suddenly everyone is paying attention to Perry, but who can he trust? Even his friends from the marine supply store behave differently, and on top of everything else, Perry finds himself falling for convenience store clerk Cherry, who has problems of her own. Despite his family's shenanigans and sinister maneuverings, Perry holds his own and discovers abilities he didn't know he had. The wisdoms here run more cute than deep, but Wood's light humor and likable narrator should have mass appeal. (Aug.)
