Two of our favorite leading men have undergone hand surgeries this past week. Shia LaBeouf had his second reconstructive surgery after his car accident five months ago. His rep announced that all went well and the actor is at home recovering. Wonder if Shia needs anyone to bring him some chicken soup?
"Shia had one surgery postponed for Transformers 2, but there's no additional complications now . It's taken a while, but the surgery has been completed and Shia should be healing fine.
Funnyman Ben Stiller also had to have work done on his hand. The actor was admitted to New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital on Sunday after a snowboarding accident. The Daily News is reporting that a top specialist was brought into take the lead. Ben's rep has confirmed the injury.
"I can confirm that he broke his hand snowboarding.
Get better soon! :)

Less Shia LaBeouf? BOO to that!
Looks like doctors have suggested Shia pull out of a movie he had slated to film in 2009 due to his shattered hand. The actor has been told he needs additional reconstructive surgery and will be unable to work for the entire year.
Health comes first! I can appreciate that.
The movie Shia was supposed to work on is called Dark Fields and was originally slated for this Fall (08). After the accident, bosses pushed back the production dates to give LaBeouf time to heal. But the news of further surgery has forced the relationship to end. The studio is now looking for a replacement.
The novel follows a divorced copywriter in Manhattan who gets a helping of MDT-48, a new, illegal drug that will make him smarter -- a drug he scores from his dealer and ex-brother-in-law. While reveling in the financial and social success of his new-found smarts, he ignores a selection of side effects from terrible headaches to "trip-switching" -- a phenomenon that makes time move like stop-motion. He becomes a successful addict, who then gets implicated in a murder and linked to pharmaceutical espionage.

HELLO! I am SO excited for this movie. One of my favorite actors in what's sure to be an amazing action film...can I buy my movie tickets now?!? Shia LaBeouf has been tapped to take the lead role in the screenplay adaption of the John Grisham novel, The Associate.
The book comes out Jan. of '09 and is predicted to go straight to number one.
LaBeouf will play a student graduating from Yale Law School who is given confidential information about a multi-billion dollar lawsuit. The 22-year-old joins a list of Hollywood actors who've led Grisham adaptations, including Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman.
This should really be a great boost for Shia's career!

Talk about staying under the radar...
Shia LaBeouf was photographed sitting front row at a LA Lakers / Toronto Raptors game . In case you care, the Lakers won. While he didn't show off those pearly whites, it's still nice to see Shia enjoying life.
This set is also our visual confirmation that Shia still needs to wear that brace around his healing fingers, an injury resulting from his infamous car crash.

I'm right there with you Selena, I'm right there...
Selena Gomez is begging Shia LaBeouf to come guest star on her Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place. Even though she's supposedly dating Nick Jonas, her celebrity crush on Shia is no secret.
"You'd think that as much as I promote it [he’d make an appearance],” she said. "I'm like, begging, but it’s not happening. I know I'm a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!"
I'm not going to lie, if he goes on her show, I'd probably Tivo and watch, hahaha. And no, I'm not 14 years years old. :)

I wonder how much longer Shia LaBeouf is going to have to walk around with his hand wrapped up? It's been quite some time since the accident. But it's no secret that the injuries he received were substantial.
In a rare public sighting, Shia was spotted heading to LAX with his favorite travel case. Fans called and he listened - stopping to sign some autographs for other travelers. Nice to see him taking the time out for his base... even though he never cracked a smile.

This boy has no luck! Shia Labeouf injured his eyelid due to a bomb blast stunt and refused to seek hospital help. Instead, he opted for medics from Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico to take a look where he was filming for Transformers 2. Some say he is lucky to have his eyesight.
"He was treated at the clinic at the airforce base by Colonel Torres and then a local ophthalmologist came by to check on his eye. He was in the clinic for about four hours and then he returned to the set once the swelling had gone down.
"We were all pretty impressed. Shia's making a lot of friends on the set of this film - he's a real guy who smokes like a fiend. To get up from a movie explosion, which leaves you injured, and get back in there is cool.
"He's got broken fingers from his car crash this summer (08) and now his eyelid has been slashed open. I guess he's lucky he still has his sight.
It's always so interesting to see what movies produce hurt actors. The Bond films are always the type to result in injury and typically turn out to be great to watch.

It's a safety issue. All those fans and umbrellas are there to make sure Megan Fox doesn't faint in her all leather suit. But that didn't stop the crew from making fun of the situation.
Watch Shia LaBeouf stand by yearning for the same treatment. It looks like they all had a laugh on the set while filming Transformers 2. I love seeing behind the scenes stuff like this.

Looks like Megan Fox paid a visit to her friend and Transformers co-star Shia LaBeouf during his red carpet premiere of Eagle Eye, a movie I am so desperate to see. It looks as if the photographers forced these two to pose together even though Megan was trying to give Shia his own time in the limelight.
Also walking the red carpet was Michelle Monaghan, who is adorably several months pregnant and Rosario Dawson who looked amazing in emerald green. You forget how long these movies take to complete and edit. You can literally create life while waiting for the team to seal the deal. :)
The LA premiere took place atGrauman's Chinese Theatre.
