We can’t get enough of this FitCeleb! Madonna was at it again recently, sweating it out with best buddies Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney for a hectic workout. The threesome visited Madonna’s £6milion personal gym - just 20 yards from her front door - for a hardcore training session. Gwyneth arrived in a pair of patent black shoes, cushioned with a plaster on the heel. But by the time she left, clutching a bottle of water, sweat marks stained her purple work out top. Madonna was more casual in her Adidas tracksuit bottoms, and black top (her usual workout gear). The singer has been hitting the treadmill hard lately. Her and Gwyneth even share a personal trainer - fitness guru Tracy Anderson. The pint sized blonde is credited with helping Gwyneth get back her slim figure after the birth of baby Moses in 2006. She has also been working out with Madonna, who turns 50 in August, six times a week for the past year.

Definitely something worth posting about!

I am SO UPSET I MISSED THIS! I had the opportunity to go and meet Richard Simmons while he is on tour promoting Crangery, Ocean Spray’s new energy juice drink. And I am so under the weather, that I had to say no. UGH! Talk about a once in a lifetime experience! Lucky for me, technology is live and kicking. And the good people that put together the event sent over some footage of the day.

Ocean Spray today announced its campaign to energize the country and lift people from America’s other energy crisis. With hectic, busy lifestyles, many Americans are experiencing an energy shortage. While masters at multi-tasking, most people need an extra boost to keep them on the go. As such, starting this month, the company will offer more than half a million free samples nationwide of its new Cranergy™ Energy Juice Drink – which reinvigorates the body with natural energizers.

The effort commenced with the dynamic Richard Simmons, who appeared at the Cranergy™ Fuel Station created in New York City’s Penn Station. New York commuters stopped by to meet the fitness guru and fuel-up on natural energy at a life-size human filling station.

With the launch of its new Cranergy™ Energy Juice Drink, Ocean Spray is devoted to reenergizing busy Americans with a source of energy they can feel good about, providing a natural lift with an even-energy feel.

Ocean Spray’s® Cranergy™ is made with real fruit juice and clinically shown to improve alertness and make people feel less tired.1 With green tea extract, which is a natural source of caffeine; five B-vitamins, which support healthy energy production; and vitamin C, which can help boost immunity, Cranergy™ outpaces traditional energy drinks. Cranberries and green tea also contain antioxidants that help the body fight free radicals.

Available in two flavors – Cranberry Lift and Raspberry Cranberry Lift – Cranergy™ contains only 35 calories per eight-ounce serving. That’s 50 percent fewer calories than other leading energy drinks, since it is sweetened with Splenda® Brand Sweetener.

This has been speculated for a long time but researchers are saying they have new hard evidence that proves breast feeding improves children’s intelligence. That may be why so many celeb moms, like Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Salma Hayek, Kelly Ripa, Demi Moore, Madonna, Pamela Anderson, and Faith Hill have chosen to breast feed.

At 6 ½ years, the breast-fed group scored significantly higher on tests of vocabulary, word matching and verbal I.Q., although the differences in several other tests of intelligence were not significant. Teacher ratings of the children were consistently higher for those who were breast-fed.

But, nobody knows if the correlation between intelligence and breast milk is from the nutrients or the bond/interaction between mother and baby.

FitCeleb Cameron Diaz, 35, is speaking to People magazine about how happy she is with her looks, in fact, she thinks she’s getting hotter as she gets older. The actress “had to have work on my nose” after a 2005 surfing accident but, she tells the U.K. Cosmopolitan in its June issue:

“I’d never do anything else. I think beauty comes from the inside. I feel I get better with age … I look at pictures of myself when I was 21 and think, ‘Wow, I didn’t look so bad.’ But I take more care of myself now, so in a way I feel like I look better than I did then …. I feel stronger and more confident.”

However, to her dismay, she’s still battling the occasional breakout.

“Sometimes I’ll look in the mirror and be like, ‘Damn, where did that that come from?’ Seriously! I’m 35 years old. When is this going to stop?!”

Hey, at least we know that FitCelebs are normal and get breakouts, too! I don’t think Cameron has anything to worry about when it comes to her looks- she IS getting better with age!

Crammed with family functions, cocktail hours and barbecues, weekends can be healthy eating minefields. If your good eating habits end Friday at 5, keep reading. Avoid the most common pitfalls with these tips from Jennifer Nelson, R.D., of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

The problem Grazing all weekend long.

Why it happens Without a structured schedule, you grab whatever food is within easy reach.

Rescue remedy Take 15 minutes midday Friday to review your weekend plans; identify any potential trouble spots (e.g., you’re attending a beach barbecue on Sunday) so you can schedule your meal and snack times around them. By imposing some guidelines, you cut the chances that you’ll munch mindlessly.

The problem After a tough week you are so ready to melt into the couch - with a big bowl of triple-fudge ice cream.

Why it happens You’re craving comfort, not food.

Rescue remedy Brainstorm non-food ways to soothe yourself, like meeting a friend for a walk in the park or getting a pedicure while you catch up on summer reading. If you still need the sugar, you can usually get your fix without putting too big a dent in your diet; two Snickers Miniatures provide total indulgence but set you back just 85 calories.

The problem All three of your social events revolve around food.

Why it happens With so many tempting items within reach, it seems impossible to avoid blowing your diet.

Rescue remedy You don’t have to choose between parties (or turn down every single bite). Before you leave the house, have a small, protein-rich snack (to prevent that “I’m starving” feeling). At the party, look at everything that’s being offered first, then zero in on a few items that look too good to pass up and just have those.

Even just drinking diet soda can be a health risk. We already know that people who drink diet soda have a higher risk of being overweight, but did you know that drinking diet can also cause metabolic syndrome? The New York Times explains metabolic syndrome:

“metabolic syndrome — the collection of risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes that include abdominal obesity, high cholesterol and blood glucose levels — and elevated blood pressure.”

And if you drink one can of diet soda a day, your risk goes up by 34%. So maybe Kim Cattrall should put down the fizzy beverage and try some good old fashioned water!

Self Magazine has a new book out that teaches women to stay healthy mentally and physically. Here are some great tips from 15 Minutes to your Best Self.

1. Know your family history You’ll reduce your risk for disease and help your M.D. pinpoint the cause of symptoms. Ask relatives general questions and let them volunteer their specifics, experts at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, suggest.

2. Catch your zzz’s Insufficient rest could be as devastating to your health as poor nutrition or lack of exercise, says James B. Maas, Ph.D., professor of psychology at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Snooze for seven to nine hours nightly.

3. Bite right For clear arteries, consume as few trans and saturated fats as possible. Go for monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids. Nuts are a great source, but stick to 1 ounce (23 almonds)—they’re high in calories, too.

4. Nix the butts Smoking ups your risk for heart disease and a range of cancers, including lung cancer, which kills more women than breast, ovarian and uterine cancers combined. Even if you’re a “social” smoker, ask your doc about cessation aids.

5. Soothe stress Being chronically frazzled might contribute to high blood pressure, which can lead to a stroke. Blow off steam at least weekly with a tension tamer such as yoga or meditation.

6. Wear sunscreen As little as 15 unprotected minutes of sun each day could increase your chances of skin cancer (and wrinkles). Slather on sunscreen daily, and use moisturizer and makeup with SPF.

7. Move it Vigorous exercise helps provide a buffer against heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Doing cardio or weights for half an hour a day is all it takes to reap lifelong benefits.

8. Have safe sex Unprotected intercourse puts you at risk for HIV, human papillomavirus (HPV), hepatitis B and C, gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia and cervical cancer. Always use a condom if you’re unsure about your partner’s status.

9. Care for your pair For women with no family history of breast cancer, the odds of getting the disease are 1 in 13. Give yourself a once-over monthly, and talk to your doctor about screenings.

10. Strap in Crashes are the chief cause of accidental death and injury for women 25 to 34 and the third killer for those 35 to 44. Drive within the speed limit and always wear your seat belt.

Gimme 10! You’ll feel better about yourself afterwards.

Truthfully, whenever I get that urge to give it a go. One quick tip that I do that seems to work is to do something while each commercial break is on while watching tv. So I will jump up and down, do sit ups, jumping jacks etc. Then when my show is back on, I sit and enjoy. It sounds silly, but it gets you off the couch and you are still enjoying your program.
